HOW MANY CALORIES ARE IN A DISPOSABLE VAPE?

Cherry cola, foaming banana cheesecake and strawberry macaroons. If you were to eat these treats daily, you'd probably be quickly heading for type 2 diabetes and, at the very least, a new belt size each month. But what about when they're in a vape? One of the questions we're frequently asked is how many calories you'll find in a disposable vape pen. So while we're not nutritionists, we've done the calorie counting math on vapes.

Calories In Disposable Vape

WHAT IS A CALORIE?

Brought to us by Pilgrim trading here in the UK, these Wiki bar disposable vapes, deliver clear vibrant flavours through a reliable compact and versatile. A calorie is a unit measurement of energy. Usually, the term calorie refers to the amount of energy needed to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one Celcius (now usually defined as 4.1868 joules). The calories in food are the units of energy required to keep our bodies active and operate at their optimum state.

HOW MANY CALORIES DO WE NEED ON A DAILY BASIS?

How many calories you need in a day depends on your activity level and resting metabolic rate - height, gender and age can play a huge role in this (i.e. a nineteen-year-old, 10 ft giant guy will need more calories in the day than a sixty-year-old, 4ft woman). However, conventional wisdom suggests that men shouldn't eat fewer than 1,500 calories and women 1,200 calories to ensure that they're getting a balance of major nutrients and micronutrients.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) offers general guidelines on calorie requirements for various ages and activity levels. For example, a middle-aged, moderately active female should consume 2,000 calories daily. A middle-aged, moderately active male should consume 2,400 to 2,600 calories daily.

E-liquid (or vape juice) primarily consists of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol mixture, each with approximately four calories per gram. Of course, you would only gain these calories if you drank the e-juice, which we don't advise (we know it smells good, but seriously, unless you want to vomit or get nicotine poisoning - we really don't recommend it).

DOES VAPING AFFECT BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS?

Vaping the liquid has not been proven to affect blood sugar levels and is even safe for those with type 2 diabetes.

WILL I GAIN WEIGHT USING DISPOSABLE VAPES?

Some people do report weight gain when switching from smoking to vaping. However, this is far more likely due to your returning appetite, repaired taste buds, decreased metabolism, and water retention. All of these can occur from stopping cigarettes – not from vaping itself. Plus, when you quit smoking, you'll likely notice a positive change in your fitness, energy and overall health – something you can channel into exercise to counteract any weight gain!
